About
Pink Ashes is a group work for five dancers whose different bodies and histories carry distinct experiences of violence.
The work explores everyday violence: what happens behind closed doors, what we carry within ourselves, and what can be passed on to others. Violence appears as both a protective and destructive force—capable of defending boundaries, but also of intoxicating, blinding, and spiralling out of control.
The project focuses particularly on violence in intimate relationships and examines how its expression is tied to ideas of masculinity and manhood.
