About
Brotherly is a contemporary dance performance questioning traditional Irish dance as a global phenomenon and its roots in colonial resistance. Drawing on Riverdance, rigid posture, and rhythmic footwork, the work turns control and resistance into a physical experience.
Created for three dancers, the bodies become a single musical instrument—a brotherhood in ceaseless, percussive motion, sounding an ebbing call to arms, or perhaps one to life.
